Luke Dale, the actor behind Hans Capon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, is transforming a Prague basement into Nobleman, a candlelit, medieval-inspired tavern. Scheduled to open on October 1, 2026, the venue will serve British comfort food, Czech dishes, Sunday roasts, and beer.

Luke Dale, the actor behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s spoiled, arrogant, and pompous nobleman who spends his days drinking and eventually grows into a mature deuteragonist, is trading the game world for a real piece of Bohemia. Dale, who played the heavy-drinking Hans Capon, is ironically opening his own bar in Prague.

Luke Dale revealed on his YouTube channel that he had bought an old basement venue in Prague’s Vinohrady district and is eager to turn it into a real-life medieval-inspired tavern called Nobleman. He envisions it as a “candlelit escape from the modern world.”

The KCD actor may be taking his role a bit too seriously, but his ambition to open a bar predates his association with Hans Capon.

In the video, he stated:

“Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to run a pub, a restaurant, a cafe, something. Something that was bricks and mortar. Something that felt real. Because so much of what I’ve done in my life has been acting, filmmaking, and more recently, streaming and these things, however amazing they’ve been, there’s an element to it which doesn’t feel real to me.”

Dale has been open about his new venture and says that this isn’t a calculated business move but something he’s dreamed about for years. After years in the acting industry, he wanted to pursue a project that felt real in a way his career often hadn’t. Dale continued:

“I’ve always wanted to run a business that was mine that I could run, and I could come to, and I could be a part of a community and engender a great feeling in a community.”

He’s lived and worked in the Czech Republic for quite a while and feels humbled by and appreciative of the country that shaped his life, from its food to the relationships he’s formed along the way. That appreciation extends to his menu, too, including a “great Sunday roast,” British comfort food, traditional Czech dishes, and, of course, beer.

With no professional experience running a tavern, Dale calls the venture a “very terrifying thing.” Unlike the nobleman he played in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, he’s putting in plenty of manual labor to make his dream a reality. The Nobleman tavern is set to open on October 1, 2026, and curious visitors in Prague can keep tabs on it by following his website, nobleman.cz.
