JAM Audio claims that its new true wireless earbuds can last over 54 hours per charge
The JAM Audio Live Frees are new truly wireless earbuds with a more compact design compared to their predecessors (the Live Trues). The wearables themselves offer approximately 6 hours' worth of play-time per charge. However, this can be extended to a reported 54 hours or more when placed in their charging case.
This case is described as weighing only 0.17 pounds and measuring 1.28x2.65x1.99 inches. The Live Free earbuds also have IP4X water- and sweat-resistant. JAM Audio claims that the composition of their removable ear-tips make for a good fit in the ear in the long term. Each of these earbuds also have simple button controls to manage audio, as well as for Siri or Google Assistant activation.
These new earbuds also have a microphone for calls and an LED to indicate battery levels. They are linked to a 50-foot range for Bluetooth connections. However, JAM Audio has not as yet released other specs such as driver size for these new wearables. Finally, despite the impressive claims made for the charging case, it is powered via microUSB, a slightly disappointing choice in 2019.
However, this choice may have helped the company set a potentially attractive price for the Live Free earbuds. Each set is US$79.99, putting them at the more affordable end of the true wireless audio market. They come in gray or black and are sold via JAMaudio.com
