Images of the Logitech G Gaming Handheld surface: features a Switch-like design and a custom Android UI
Tipster @evleaks recently outed pictures of the upcoming Logitech G Gaming Handheld, a cloud gaming device Logitech's building in partnership with Tencent. The images indicate that the G Gaming Handheld will feature a chunky design similar to the Nintendo Switch Lite, with thick bezels around the display.
An image of the G Gaming Handheld's UI seemingly confirms that it'll be running Android with Google Play, Chrome, and YouTube icons visible. This is significant because Logitech's initial G Gaming Handheld announcement offered few details about how the "cloud gaming handheld" would work, apart from promising support for GeForce NOW and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
It's now clear that we're looking at an Android device. This means that the G Gaming Handheld won't be limited to cloud streaming platforms and should be able to run regular mobile titles with ease. Further details about the G Gaming Handheld remain thin on the ground. We expect to hear more in the months to come. With Valve confirming its plans for next-gen Steam Decks, it'll be interesting to see how the G Gaming Handheld fares with its emphasis on the cloud.
