If recent tweets from Evan Blass and Mishaal Rahman end up being accurate, then it appears Huawei is upping its game in regard to smartphone camera equipment. The Chinese company’s P20 and P20 Pro devices were highly praised for their excellent cameras, but it seems the firm isn’t content to rest on its laurels.
Apparent details of the Huawei P30’s camera equipment include a triple rear camera setup, maximum resolution of 40 MP, 5x lossless zoom, and even a 24 MP selfie camera. If that’s not enough to get the average smartphone snapper salivating, then the Pro variant of the flagship offers a few additional features just for good measure.
Notebookcheck has already reported on the expected quad camera setup on the rear, thanks to a list for protective cases turning up online. But the Huawei P30 Pro may offer a 10x hybrid zoom (so at least 5x optical zoom) and a 3D sensor, which according to Rahman will provide better range imaging than the time-of-flight system.
