Honor Watch 6 Plus with 1,000 mAh battery and 3,000-nit display gets special edition

The Honor Watch 6 Plus was announced at the end of May, and Honor is already unveiling a special edition. The Honor Watch 6 Plus Motorcycle Edition was developed in collaboration with Zhang Xue, a professional motorcyclist and founder of the motorcycle brand ZXMoto.
The Motorcycle Edition features a number of design tweaks, highlighted by a leather strap with blue and red accents and a new animation that appears when the smartwatch is turned on, displaying the ZXMoto logo. The operating system has been enhanced with a range of motorcycle sound effects, while a special watch face can display the speed limit of the current route. The core hardware, however, remains unchanged. The highlight is the 1,000 mAh battery, which is 67 percent larger than the battery in the Apple Watch Ultra 3 ($699 on Amazon).
This should allow for a battery life of 35 days in power-saving mode or 17 days with regular use. The Honor Watch 6 Plus features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Honor has included a heart rate and SpO2 sensor, and offers over 120 sports modes along with the ability to assess the risk of high blood pressure.
Speakers, microphones, an NFC chip, and a GPS module are included. The body, which is water-resistant up to 5 ATM, is made of a combination of stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic. However, with a diameter of 46.5 millimeters, a thickness of 10.8 millimeters, and a weight of 41 grams, the watch is not particularly compact.
Pricing and availability
The Honor Watch 6 Plus Motorcycle Edition is available in China for CNY 1,599 ($235), making this model CNY 400 ($59) more expensive than the standard Honor Watch 6 Plus. Honor has not yet indicated whether the smartwatch will also be released in the rest of the world.
