DS No 7 E-Tense: New premium EV launches with 460 miles of range

With the DS N°7, DS Automobiles is focusing on long-distance electric travel. The new premium BEV from the Stellantis luxury brand is officially stylized as DS N°7, though German shoppers more commonly search for DS No. 7 or simply DS No 7. The all-electric compact SUV will debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and arrive at European dealerships in fall 2026. Initial deliveries of the luxury EV are scheduled before the end of 2026.
The 183.5-inch-long electric SUV has a drag coefficient of 0.26. Starting with the Étoile trim, the front of the DS No 7 features the DS Luminascreen with vertical light bars. The BEV is based on the STLA Medium platform and will be offered with three electric E-Tense powertrains. The entry-level DS No. 7 E-Tense FWD produces 227 hp, temporarily increasing to 256 hp in boost mode. Above it is the Long-Range version with 242 hp, or 276 hp in boost mode. The range-topping DS N°7 E-Tense AWD Long Range uses two electric motors to deliver 345 hp to all four wheels, rising to 370 hp with boost activated.
Range is one of the new luxury BEV's key features. The smaller battery in the entry-level EV has a usable capacity of 73.7 kWh and provides up to 337 miles of range, while the Long Range versions use a 97.2 kWh battery. This gives the premium EV a maximum WLTP range of up to 460 miles. Under real-world highway conditions, the manufacturer states that the vehicle can travel more than 249 miles without stopping. The larger battery pack can charge at up to 160 kW at a DC fast-charging station. Its relatively flat charging curve maintains the peak rate of 160 kW between 20 and 55 percent, allowing 124 miles of range to be added in ten minutes. Charging the large EV from 20 to 80 percent takes 27 minutes.
The interior of the DS No. 7 is designed like a luxury lounge. The hand-finished seats offer heating, ventilation, massage functions, and dedicated neck warmers. A 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 16-inch center display dominate the EV's cockpit. The DS Iris System 2.0 infotainment system includes ChatGPT AI as standard for natural-language voice control. Safety and driver-assistance features include DS Drive Assist 2.0 for Level 2 semiautonomous driving, an infrared night-vision system, and adaptive Pixelvision headlights with a range of up to 1,706 feet. The BEV offers between 19.8 and 55.4 cubic feet of cargo space, with the charging cable stored in a dedicated compartment beneath the cargo floor.
