The HONOR Magic V2 Ultimate is currently only available in China at a starting price of 8,999 yuan (~$1,255) for the 16GB/256GB model. Despite being shown off at IFA 2023, we’ll have to wait until Q1, 2024 to get pricing and availability info for the global version. Nevertheless, HONOR has listed the device on its website in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. These listings don’t include a price but we’re guessing that it’ll start at €1,599 (~$1,735) at the very least, much like the Magic Vs.

For software, the smartphone runs on the Android 12 OS with Magic UI 7 custom interface. The Honor Magic Vs Ultimate provides a robust performance with the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC integrated with Adreno 730 GPU. Qualcomm Adreno 730: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 30% faster than the Adreno 660 in the Snapdragon 888 SoC. For Android it should be one of the fastest graphics cards in late 2021.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

SD 8+ Gen 1: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2021 and manufactured in 4 nm at TSMC. Integrates one “Prime Core” based on a ARM Cortex-X2 architecture clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. Three more performance cores are based on the A710 but clock up to 2.5 GHz. Furthermore, four energy saving cores are integrated that are based on the ARM Cortex-A510 architecture and clock at up to 1.8 GHz.
