Reviews for the Vivo iQOO Neo7 Pro
Source: OI Spice Tech News
The Vivo iQOO Neo 7 Pro smartphone has almost everything, required in the affordable gaming-centric smartphone. Whether you talk about gameplay, immersive user experience, cooling system, or anything else. Smartphone makers provide amazing things at a quick budget-friendly price point. Apart from offering a high-end chipset, the device doesn’t have any major specialty. Moreover, the photography and videography aspect might be the biggest downside of this phone. In case, you are looking for a better camera experience, then you can even try out the Xiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra which comes with decent specs and price. Lastly, the final decision is in your hands so choose the phone wisely according to your needs.

So, should you buy the iQOO Neo 7 Pro? If you are an avid gamer as well as a photographer looking for a phone under Rs 35,000, this is a solid option to consider. The phone might get fairly warm while running demanding games but that won’t hamper your overall experience much. As for photography, with its various modes, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro can help you in capturing some amazing shots.

For Rs 34,999, the iQoo Neo7 Pro is a really good option to consider. So, if you are a power user looking for a new phone, then iQoo Neo7 Pro could be the one for you. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 takes care of all the performance chops, the 120Hz AMOLED is smooth and vibrant, the camera setup is not the best but clicks social media-ready pictures, and the 120W charging is also a good addition if you are someone who’s on the run. The one aspect where the Neo7 Pro lags is the software experience and where its competition has an edge. With OxygenOS, the OnePlus 11T and Nord 3 offer a much better experience, and so does the NothingOS on Nothing Phone (1).

At its current price of Rs 34,999, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro is a staggeringly good value for money. It is hands down the best phone out there for under Rs 35,000, and we would say even Rs 40,000. You can actually get its 12 GB/ 256 GB variant for less than the 8 GB/ 128 GB variant of the only other phone that we think can challenge it – the OnePlus 11R. This is one of those rare devices that ticks every box you can think of at its price. Those wanting a cleaner Android performance might prefer the OnePlus, but that comes with a higher price tag. The Nothing Phone (2) is another new device with a similar chip and clean UI but starts at an even steeper Rs 44,999. The iQOO Neo 7 Pro is in a price-performance zone of its own at the time of writing—a no-brainer for anyone seeking a budget flagship at the most affordable price.

The iQOO Neo 7 Pro turns out to be a versatile smartphone that can handle everything and also puts its competitors to the dirt when it comes to what value it is offering for the price. If the 2 year Android OS upgrade policy is manageable for you, then the iQOO Neo 7 Pro is a no-brainer.

The iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G introduces some key features that were missing in its younger sibling, the Neo 7 5G. You get a more complete camera system with better performance and a more powerful SoC. The phone also offers a smooth 120Hz AMOLED display with good speakers and an impressive battery life with 120W fast charging. As a package, the iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G offers great value and clearly has an edge over the OnePlus Nord 3 (Review) when it comes to raw performance. However, the Nord 3 5G offers 16GB of RAM and does have an edge when it comes to overall camera performance. The 12GB RAM variant's price of the iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G is quite close to the OnePlus 11R 5G's (Review) base model. The 11R 5G offers a higher resolution display with curved edges and has the same performance unit. The main difference between iQoo and its OnePlus rivals is the software experience, and I think most buying decisions will ultimately boil down to the preference of Android skins.

So after testing the iQOO Neo 7 Pro 5G for about two weeks and using the smartphone, I can confidently say that this is probably the best price-to-performance ratio you can get in the market right now. For a ₹ 34,999 price tag, this smartphone takes the fight to devices that are twice its price or even more! So in terms of performance, the numbers speak for themselves.Apart from this, we get a familiar design with a premium touch, a very colour accurate display, and on top of that, a pretty decent camera which will do very well if your usage is casual and mostly for social media. The battery is also optimised towards performance, and the 120W fast charging is as fast as it gets on a smartphone in this range.

The iQOO Neo7 Pro is a performance-oriented handset with optimised gaming capabilities. The robust design is a big plus from a durability standpoint while the 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR support make it a great visual aid. Apart from that, the Neo7 Pro’s camera setup can also satisfy potential consumers. However, the phone is anything but light and compared to some other devices in the price range, it may sport a slightly bland look. It also doesn’t help that the interface has a ton of pre-installed apps that can dampen the user experience. If these things matter little to you then I feel that mobile gaming enthusiasts can find easy refuge in the Neo7 Pro’s capabilities.

On the back of the phone, there is a rectangular camera module for the triple-camera setup. The Neo 7 Pro 5G features a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary camera sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The camera system supports up to 4K 60fps video recording and comes with several features, such as Bokeh Portrait video, dual-view video, Horizon Correction, Super Night video, etc. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel front camera. The iQoo Neo 7 Pro 5G runs on the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. There are some preloaded third-party apps, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Netflix, Amazon, Byju's and Spotify. It also offers dual speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner and support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, etc. The iQoo Neo 7 Pro takes on the likes of the OnePlus 11R 5G, Vivo V27 Pro (Review), and other phones under Rs. 40,000 in India. Qualcomm Adreno 730: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 30% faster than the Adreno 660 in the Snapdragon 888 SoC. For Android it should be one of the fastest graphics cards in late 2021.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Integrates one “Prime Core” based on a ARM Cortex-X2 architecture clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. Three more performance cores are based on the A710 but clock up to 2.5 GHz. Furthermore, four energy saving cores are integrated that are based on the ARM Cortex-A510 architecture and clock at up to 1.8 GHz. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a WiFi 6e modem, a Hexagon DSP (for AI acceleration) and a Spectra ISP. The integrated memory controller supports fast LPDDR5 memory with up to 3,200 MHz. 5G is now included in the chip with the Snapdragon X65 modem. Compared to the non plus version, the 8+ Gen 1 offers a 200 MHz higher clocked Prime Core and a 10% higher clocked GPU. It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.79.25%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
