Honor 100 GT tipped to launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and upgraded battery
Honor's 90 GT came with mid-tier Android smartphone perks such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 despite its ~$364 starting price with 12GB of RAM. However, it also came with an underwhelmingly standard 5,000mAh battery to maintain its slim profile.
The OEM may have overcome that drawback in its next "GT", though, according to respected leaker Digital Chat Station. Its battery is now said to be of the cutting-edge "high-density silicon" variety, an upgrade than also comes with an improved rated capacity - just like Honor's new flagships.
Unlike the Magic7 and 7 Pro, the "100 GT" is said to come with a display of LTPS technology rather than typically higher-end LTPO for potentially improved efficiency and responsiveness. The mid-ranger's display is thought to be flat and to be of a decent 1.5K resolution, though.
It also might be equipped with a premium "3D ultrasonic fingerprint" sensor, although that detail is yet to be confirmed. It might also run a version of Android 15 using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, although a launch date has also yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, the vanilla Honor 90 now starts for $385 on Amazon.
