Honor 300 Ultra tipped to launch with periscope zoom lens and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
The Honor x0 line has rarely shied away from standing out with an elaborate camera hump, even for the mid-tier Android smartphone landscape - which means its allegedly upcoming 300 Pro variant actually looks restrained by comparison.
The vaguely triangular module is also present in its even higher-end Ultra sibling, according to the latest renders posted by prolific leaker Digital Chat Station - although its "Portrait Master" logo is picked out in red to distinguish the latter.
The Ultra's camera housing is also the only one with a 50MP periscope zoom lens to go with the portrait and main cameras shared by the Pro model.
The 300 Ultra might also be the only member of its supposedly 100W fast-charging series with a flagship-grade single-point ultrasonic fingerprint sensor set into its 1.5K display.
That is where the 300 series might fall behind others such as Oppo's upcoming Reno13 line-up, however: it is shown with last-gen curved displays in its latest leaks.
The vanilla 300 might prove the single exception to that rule, however. It might also be better equipped to compete with a wider range of colors for what seems to be a rear glass panel, compared to a choice of black glass or what looks like patterned vegan leather in cream for the 300 Ultra.
