Deal | Hongo 2K 16-inch 120 Hz portable monitor just got even cheaper at just US$140 for Amazon Prime users

The Hongo 2K IPS monitor was originally on sale for $160 USD late last month, but it's back again for August with an additional $20 discount for a sale price of just $140. The deal applies only to Amazon Prime members, however, and so non-members will still have to pony up an extra $20. The manufacturer says the deal is expected to last until the end of August.

The sale is notable because the Hongo monitor features excellent specifications relative to its new sale price. When compared to other inexpensive portable monitors, the Hongo is slightly larger at 16.1-inches with deeper 100% sRGB colors, a higher 1600p native resolution, faster 120 Hz refresh rate, and VESA mounting. Most external monitor in the $100 to $150 range tend to be just 15.6-inches with narrower 60% sRGB colors, 1080p resolution, and 60 Hz refresh rate only. The Hongo is therefore much better suited for gaming, multimedia, and even some graphics editing provided that you have the means to calibrate the display to fully exploit its sRGB colors.
