The Hisense Smart UltraSlim Air Conditioner and the Smart Tower Portable Air Conditioner have been announced. The two smart home products will be shown at CES 2025 from January 7th to 10th.
The Smart UltraSlim Air Conditioner is suited to spaces measuring up to 550 ft² (~51 m²). It offers 12,000 BTU cooling and is “almost silent”, said to be 34% quieter than other models; unfortunately, this claim is not backed up with a measurement in decibels. Features like sliding side curtains boost energy efficiency, and you can remotely control the smart air conditioner via the ConnectLife app. Here, you can set up a schedule or enable remote monitoring. Plus, this is a Matter-compatible device, allowing it to integrate with a wide range of smart home products and ecosystems. According to Hisense, the air conditioner can be set up in as little as 15 minutes.
The Smart Tower Portable Air Conditioner is less powerful, with 8,000 BTU cooling, and is designed for smaller areas around 350 ft² (~33 ft²) in size. Again, this is said to be a quieter model that is quick to install. Hisense does not provide details on this product’s smart features, which could include the same remote app-based controls and smart home linkage as the UltraSlim model. Hisense has yet to reveal the pricing and international release dates for the Smart UltraSlim Air Conditioner and the Smart Tower Portable Air Conditioner. Presumably, we will learn more in January. These are expected to join models like the Hisense 10,000 BTU Smart Portable Inverter Air Conditioner, currently $739.69 at Amazon.
