HP has refreshed its Chromebook 14 models for 2026. The new Chromebook 14 and Chromebook x360 14 are powered by Intel processors, feature 2K displays, and boast up to 8 hours of battery life. The HP Chromebook 14 and HP Chromebook x360 14 have identical specifications, with the main difference being their form factor, as the latter has a 360° hinge that lets it double as a tablet.
The two Chromebooks have a 14-inch 2K (1920 × 1200) IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and up to 300 nits of brightness. HP will offer the Chromebook 14 with optional touch support, while the x360 model will have a variant with multitouch support and edge-to-edge glass and another variant with touch support and anti-glare.
The new HP Chromebook 14 and HP Chromebook x360 14 will be available with an Intel N250 processor or an Intel N150 processor. Buyers will have the option of purchasing either models with 4GB RAM or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. While storage configurations include 64GB eMMC, 12GB UFS, 256GB UFS, and 256GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.
The new Chromebooks will also have a 1080p webcam with a privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 6E/Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4/Bluetooth 5.3, dual array microphones, and dual speakers. For ports, users get an audio jack, a single USB-A port, and a single USB-C port with support for Power Delivery 3.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and HP Sleep & Charge. Both the HP Chromebook 14 and HP Chromebook x360 14 will have a 3-cell 41Wh battery and will ship with an optional 45W Type-C GaN charger.
HP says pricing for the new Chromebooks will be revealed closer to their release date in February 2026. The HP Chromebook 14 will be available in Glacier Silver, Meteor Silver, Sky Blue, Aloe Green, Aquatic Blue, and Concrete Gray, while the Chromebook x360 14 will be available in Glacier Silver, Meteor Silver, Sky Blue, and Powder Pink.
