If the new HP Chromebook 14 and HP Chromebook x360 14 aren't your cup of tea, then the 2026 HP Chromebook Plus 14 and HP Chromebook Plus x360 14 might do for you, considering they offer better specs than their non-plus sister models.
The HP Chromebook Plus 14 and HP Chromebook Plus x360 14 have similar specifications, save for the latter being a 2-in-1. Regardless of the version, they both have a 14-inch 1920 × 1200 300 nits IPS display. The Chromebook Plus 14 will have a touchscreen variant, while the Chromebook Plus x360 14 will have a version with edge-to-edge glass and multitouch support and another with anti-glare.
The new Chromebook Plus models will be powered by an Intel Core 3 N355 processor. Since these are Chromebook Plus models, they have 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, while storage options start at 128GB UFS and max at 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. They also feature a 1080p webcam with temporal noise reduction and dual-array digital microphones. For privacy, there's a privacy shutter for the camera and a microphone mute key.
Regarding connectivity, the Chromebook Plus 14 and Chromebook Plus x360 14 have Wi-Fi 6/Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4/Bluetooth 5.3, a USB-A port, and an audio jack. In addition, the Chromebook Plus 14 will have a single USB-C port, while the Chromebook Plus x360 14 will have two USB-C ports with support for USB Power Delivery 3.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and HP Sleep and Charge.
HP will ship both Chromebook Plus models with a 3-cell 41Wh battery with an optional 45W Type-C GaN charger. It also states that they have support for fast charging, reaching 50% in 45 minutes.
Like the Chromebook 14 and Chromebook x360 14, HP hasn't revealed the prices of the Chromebook Plus 14 and the Chromebook Plus x360 14. However, it has disclosed they will be available on its website in February in Glacier Silver and Meteor Silver. The Chromebook Plus 14 duo will come with a 1-year subscription to Google AI Pro.
