Reviews for the HP ZBook Studio 16 G11
One of HP's lightest 16-inch workstations gets new processor options for noticeably faster performance than before. Otherwise, this is visually the same design as the ZBook Studio 16 G9 or G10 for an essentially identical user experience.

The HP ZBook Studio 16 G11 gambled on Intel’s Meteor Lake platform, which was intended to be a more power efficient CPU than the 13th gen Raptor Lake silicon in the Studio G10.

While the ZBook Studio 16 G11 flaunts an attractive design and one of the best laptop screens we've seen, its middling performance and short battery life hold it back. It's also puzzling that it includes a max-bling RGB-backlit keyboard but a low-rent 720p webcam. Our top recommendation for a mobile workstation is the HP ZBook Fury 16 G11—although less portable and just as expensive, it has none of the Studio's shortcomings—with the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 a whisker behind.

NVIDIA RTX 3000 Ada Generation Laptop: A higher-end professional graphics card for use in laptops that sports 4,608 CUDA cores and 8 GB of ECC GDDR6 VRAM. It would be fair to say that this is a GeForce RTX 4070 (Laptop) in disguise. Brought into existence in 2023, the RTX 3000 leverages TSMC's 5 nm process and Nvidia's Ada Lovelace architecture to achieve very decent performance combined with moderate power consumption. This graphics card is fast enough to run many games at 1440p with quality set to High. The Nvidia-recommended TGP range is very wide at 35 W to 140 W leading to bizarre performance differences between different systems powered by what is supposed to be the same graphics card.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

Ultra 9 185H: The top-of-the-line Meteor Lake chip that debuted in December 2023. This 1st Gen Core Ultra processor has come to replace 13th generation Core chips; it has 16 cores (6 + 8 + 2) and 22 threads at its disposal. Its Performance cores, of which there are 6, run at up to 5.1 GHz while its Efficient cores, of which there are 10 (8 main cores plus 2 extra ones found in the Low Power Island) run at up to 3.8 GHz. The 8-core Arc GPU, just out of the oven, serves as the integrated graphics adapter - this runs at up to 2.35 GHz - and there is a bevy of other brand-new technologies on offer as well such as the integrated AI Boost NPU with two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration. vPro Enterprise and business-centric features such as the Remote Platform Erase are onboard as well. This laptop processors's "base" power consumption is 45 W, while its Turbo power consumption is not supposed to go over 115 W.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
