However, the HP ZBook 15 G4’s mix of size, power, and expandability may be the perfect machine for your needs if you need a balance between power and portability from your workstation. And that might explain why the 15-incher is the best-selling mobile workstation in the HP ZBook line. Thumbs up.

Let's be honest, when discussing $4,000and up mobile workstations, there are no bad systems -- the combination of high-end processing, potent graphics and speedy storage guarantee that any laptop at this level will be a worthwhile purchase. HP goes above and beyond this easy-to-clear bar by adding its impressive DreamColor display, solid security and ruggedized design. If you need serious processing power for product development, architecture or other demanding fields, it won't disappoint.

More is always better. The HP ZBook enters its fourth round in the laptop marketplace, this time flaunting even more performance power. Genuine updates or innovations are nowhere to be found. Even so, the manufacturer demonstrates what a true mobile workstation looks like.

HP: Founded in 1939, the US company is a major server and printer manufacturer and one of the leading IT companies in the world. Until 2015, the company was called Hewlett-Packard Company. After a split, the computer division was renamed HP Inc.
In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA Quadro M2200: Mid-range workstation graphics card based on the Maxwell architecture (28nm GM206 chip similar to the new revision of the Geforce GTX 965M).

E3-1505M v6: Quad-core notebook processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture for large notebooks running at 3 - 4 GHz. Supports ECC-RAM compared to Core processors. It is the second fastest mobile Xeon processor from the Kaby Lake series and slightly in front of the consumer i7-7820HQ. The chip also integrates the professional HD Graphics P630 GPU with certified drivers clocked at 350 - 1100 MHz and is manufactured in a 14 nm process (improved compared to Skylake).
E3-1535M v6: Professional quad-core notebook processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture running at 3.1 - 4.2 GHz. It is the top model of the Kaby Lake H-series in the beginning of 2017 and therefore also the fastest mobile processor. The chip also integrates the professional HD Graphics P630 GPU with certified drivers clocked at 350 - 1100 MHz and is manufactured in a 14 nm process (improved compared to Skylake).
