Deal | HP Victus 16 with Ryzen 7 8845HS and RTX 4070 drops below $900

The HP Victus 16 equipped with an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU can currently be had for just $899.99 at Best Buy. It's powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS paired with 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD (both user-upgradeable).

The 16.1-inch IPS panel has a resolution of 1,920 × 1,080, up to 144 Hz refresh rate, 300 nits of peak brightness, and FreeSync Premium support. The main downside of this panel (and the notebook as a whole) is the low color gamut coverage — just 62.5% of sRGB.

Connectivity consists of one USB-C port (5 Gbps signaling rate, Power Delivery, DisplayPort 1.4a), three 5 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit LAN, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. A wireless card with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support is also included, while the 70 Wh battery can charge at up to 230 W through a barrel connector.

Our tests of two Intel-powered configurations of the HP Victus 16 indicated that they provide solid battery life, but do note that those machines came with slightly larger batteries.
