Deal | HP Pavilion Plus with 2.8K OLED and Ryzen 7 7840U discounted down to US$809.99

This year’s Pavilion Plus models are now available on the HP US store, and the company is offering a US$300 discount for a specific configuration that includes an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor, a 2.8K OLED display and a MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.3 card. MSRP for this configuration is supposed to be US$1,110, but it is now available for only US$809.99.

The 14-inch 2880x1800 OLED display is among the first to feature the new IMAX Enhanced standard for HDR content with a maximum brightness of 500 nit, plus it comes with variable refresh rate between 40 and 120 Hz.

Equipped with the R7 7840U, this configuration benefits from AMD’s Zen 4 Phoenix architecture that combines separate AI cores with the RDNA3 Radeon 780M iGPU. Unfortunately, the RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded, but 16 GB LPDDR5X-6400 is still enough for most applications and games. For storage, the configuration only gets a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, but it can be upgraded to a larger capacity.

Port selection features 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with power delivery, 2x USB-A 3.2, HDMI 2.1 video output and an audio jack. One feature that is HP-exclusive is the 5 MP webcam with Wide Vision lens and integrated IR sensor for face recognition plus privacy shutter. There is also a 51 Wh battery and the system weighs 3.19 lbs (1.44 kg).
