Juiced's RipCurrent S is an electric fat-tyre mountain bike with 26-inch wheels, front air suspension, and hydraulic disc brakes. While it's certainly not capable of tackling the same kinds of trails as something like the new Nukeproof Megawatt Carbon, the RipCurrent S will do just as well on a daily commute as it will cruising through an easy trail after work.
The RipCurrent S, with its 1,000 W geared hub motor with a peak output of 1,300 W, boasts a top speed of above 28 mph (~45 kph), while the 52-V, 19.2-Ah frame-mounted battery delivers a claimed 70 miles (~113 km) of range. Whether it reaches those speeds and has such long legs is likely entirely dependent on the terrain and how much use the throttle is seeing.
That said, the combination of an air fork, 26-inch fat tyres, and an included rear luggage rack with up to 50 lbs capacity makes the Juiced RipCurrent S an attractive all-rounder for commuters that also like to go on the occasional adventure.
The Juiced RipCurrent S e-bike is on sale directly from Juiced for US$1,599, down from the regular sale price of US$2,399 in the Brushed Aluminium colourway, since Juiced has discontinued that specific variant. That means that the deal will end when stock runs out. Juiced also offers free shipping on all e-bikes within the US, except for Hawaii and Alaska.
