The OMEN Transcend 14 is a highly portable gaming laptop boasting Intel Core Ultra 9 performance, plus a gorgeous 2.8k OLED screen and top specs. Ahead of my review, here's a full tour of this powerful OMEN Transcend 14 notebook, one for gamers on the go! You've got a choice of Core Ultra 7 or 9 as well as a range of Nvidia's GeForce Now 4000-series GPUs in this compact laptop. This is one of the very first 14-inchers to offer Ultra 9, so the OMEN Transcend 14 is already one of the best, beefiest portable gaming PCs in 2024. Your games will look stunning thanks to that OLED tech, with crispy 2.8k resolution. You've got full HDR support, up to 120Hz refresh and 500 nits of brightness. So wherever you roam, the OMEN Transcend 14 will pump out bright, sharp, poppy visuals. And then there's the powerful stereo speaker setup, and up to 2TB storage for your games.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
60%: Such a poor rating is rare. There are only a few notebooks that were rated even worse. The rating websites do not give a purchase recommendation here.
