Google Pixel 7 Pro: Third-party cases are already orderable for Google's next-generation flagship smartphone
The first third-party cases for the Pixel 7 series are already orderable, some five months before the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are expected to launch. Currently available for under US$3, the cases appear to confirm what this year's Pixel smartphones will look like, with the full-width camera housing returning for another year. Incidentally, case makers started offering equivalent cases for the Pixel 6a in December.
For some reason, the case renders for the Pixel 7 Pro portray the smartphone as if it has an under-display camera. However, other rumours suggest that Google will continue to equip its flagship smartphones with punch-hole cameras, unlike ZTE with the Axon 40 Ultra. Ultimately, the Pixel 7 Pro resembles its predecessor, albeit with more pronounced camera lenses.
Potentially, these Pixel 7 Pro case designs could be based on leaked CAD renders, such as those shared by @OnLeaks in February. The case maker has at least gone some way to obscure this though, if that is the case, unlike with those for the Pixel 6a. For reference, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are expected to arrive this autumn sporting a second-generation Google Tensor chipset. They should also be the first smartphones to ship with Android 13, the first beta for which Google released last week.
