While Google has just announced the Pixel 6a for $449, the company has also previewed the Pixel 7 series. As expected, the series will be available as the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro, with no Pixel 7 Pro Plus or the Pixel 7 Ultra. Still, the Pixel 7 series will build on the Pixel 6 series design language, which the company has extended to the A-series with the Pixel 6a.
Unsurprisingly, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will utilise next-generation Google Tensor hardware. Google has not provided any details about a second-generation Tensor chip, but it has teased several new design elements for the Pixel 7 series. Specifically, the pair will feature aluminium camera bars, ditching the glass ones found in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Supposedly, the housing and camera use recycled aluminium, for reference.
The Pixel 7 series is coming this autumn, likely in late September or early October. Google has not confirmed pricing for either smartphone yet, although the pair will launch alongside Android 13 and the Pixel Watch. In the meantime, the company has revealed the Pixel Buds Pro too, Google's attempt to take on the AirPods Pro.
