The super-thin notebooks get the Skylake treatment and will be on show at BlizzCon 2015.

Aside from being the official sponsor of BlizzCon 2015, Gigabyte will be live at the Irvine, California event to showcase its latest P series of notebooks refreshed with Intel Skylake processors.

The news comes on the first day of BlizzCon where Blizzard will be unveiling a host of new and updated games. As for the Gigabyte P series itself, the 14-inch P34, 15-inch P35, and 17-inch P37 will carry the signature ultra-slim profile that Gigabyte is known for. DDR4, USB Type-C, and HDMI 2.0 are all expected to be part of the refresh. As our previous tests have shown, these Gigabyte notebooks could use all the help they can get to reduce their piping hot core temperatures when gaming.

The higher-end 15-inch P55 and 17-inch P57 will also receive the Skylake update and can be equipped with a GTX 970M or 965M. The more budget-friendly 15-inch P15 and 17-inch P17 can carry up to a GTX 950M. All models will be launching before the end of the year.

Expect our usual review updates of these models as we move closer to launch. The Gigabyte Skylake refresh was announced in early September and the manufacturer has only now confirmed a solid launch date.
