Gigabyte refreshes P37, P35, and P34 in time for Skylake

Teaser
The thin gaming notebooks will get HDMI 2.0 and USB Type-C as well.

MSI had recently announced its Skylake plans to spruce up its existing G series of gaming notebooks and now Gigabyte has followed suit.

The 14-inch P34, 15-inch P35, and 17-inch P37 will all receive hardware updates to support both Skylake and DDR4. Gigabyte will also update a few ports including the addition of USB 3.1 with Type-C connectors and HDMI 2.0 with HDCP. The latter in particular will allow for native 4K video playback at 60 FPS compared to HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 on older configurations.

Otherwise, the chassis for these models will remain identical, so expect the same matte and ultrathin form factor that are the norm for Gigabyte. Our dedicated review pages on the P34, P35, and P37 will provide more details and information on features and hardware. Unfortunately, we have no word yet from Gigabyte on Skylake updates for Aorus models as of this writing. G-Sync is also conspicuously absent from this Gigabyte update and may simply be exclusive to Aorus models for now.
