Geekom releases A9 Max 2026 globally with new AMD processor and launch discounts

Geekom has quietly updated its A9 Max mini-PC with a new model. To recap, the company launched its original model in August 2025 with AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chipset (curr. $1,259 on Amazon). In short, the Strix Point APU helped make the A9 Max the most powerful Geekom mini-PC we have ever reviewed.
Now, the company has refreshed the A9 Max with AMD's most powerful Gorgon Point APU. For context, this will still see the A9 Max falling short of the performance that the A9 Mega provides with its AMD Strix Halo processor. Setting that aside, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 should provide the A9 Max 2026 with a modest performance improvement over its predecessor.
Geekom claims to have equipped its 2026 edition with the third generation of its IceBlast cooling system, too. Allegedly, IceBlast 3.0 is '52% more efficient', although Geekom has not confirmed against what. Elsewhere, the A9 Max 2026 retains the same ports as its predecessor, including dual USB4, 2.5 Gigabit LAN and five USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.
Geekom has priced the A9 Max 2026 at $1,799 in the US with 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage. Supposedly, this price is discounted from a $2,299 MSRP. Meanwhile, the company charges £1,599 for the same configuration in the UK and €1,699 in the Eurozone. Geekom is already selling its new mini-PC on Amazon Germany, Amazon Spain and Amazon UK, too.
