Reviews for the Gateway NV57H54u
Source: Techreview Source
The Gateway NV57H54u is a 15.6-inch powerhouse laptop that offers great performance, a comfortable keyboard and long battery life all without a high price. It does suffer from a mildly dim display and some touchpad issues, but other than that, it's a solid buy.

The $499 Gateway NV57H54u offers solid performance and endurance along with one of the better-looking and more comfortable keyboards we've used in this price range. What holds this 15-inch laptop back is its friction-heavy touchpad, stiff mouse bar and somewhat dim display. Overall, we prefer the HP Pavilion g6x in the under-$500 category, but if you're looking for a notebook that can do social networking, word processing and light gaming with long battery life at an affordable price, the NV57H54u is definitely worth considering.

CommentIntel HD Graphics 3000: Integrated graphics card in the Intel Sandy Bridge processors (Core ix-2xxx). The HD 3000 is the faster (internally GT2 called) version with 12 Execution Units (EUs). Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards. » Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.
15-16 inch is a standard display size for laptops and offers the biggest variety of products.» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
Usually subnotebooks, ultrabooks and quite lightweight laptops with 12-16 inch display-diagonal weigh as much.
Gateway: Gateway, Incorporated. is a computer hardware company based in California which develops, manufactures, supports, and markets a wide range of personal computers, computer monitors, servers, and computer accessories. AOL acquired Gateway.net, the online component of Gateway Inc., in 1999. 2007, Acer completed its acquisition of Gateway for approximately US$710 million. The market share outside of the US market is rather low.
In 2014 to 2016, Gateway did no longer belong to the Top 10 laptop manufacturers/distributors. Newer devices from Gateway are hardly reviewed by specialist media any longer (as of 2016).
65%: Such a bad rating is rare. There exist hardly any notebooks, which are rated worse.
