Garmin intros the Disney Princess vívofit jr. 2 fitness tracker for kids
Garmin is back with a new product for kids, namely the vivofit jr. 2 fitness tracker that comes with Disney Princess-themed bands and mobile app. This special edition accessory comes as a companion to the Star Wars, Minnie Mouse, and Marvel Avengers customized wearables by Garmin.
According to the official press release, "the vívofit jr. 2 provides kids with an interactive experience where activity unlocks adventure, shaping habits for lifelong health and fitness. Kids will look forward to crushing activity minute goals to unlock app adventures, games and step icons featuring Disney Princess characters Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan and Rapunzel."
The vivofit jr. 2 sports a customizable color screen and comes with a battery life of over a year. The companion app that works with both Android and iOS devices allows kids to play fun games and enjoy various rewards for completing tasks, while parents can keep an eye on their kids' activity, assign chores, schedule alerts to show up on the children's wearable, and so on.
The Disney Princess-branded vívofit jr.2 has a MSRP of US$79.99 and can be acquired from multiple retailers across the US, including Target and Best Buy. An accessory band that can be acquired separately for US$29.99 is also available for those who want to use the existing Star Wars, Minnie Mouse, and Marvel Avengers band options.
