Galaxy M55s launches as yet another rebadge of the Galaxy M55
Samsung has announced the Galaxy M55s 5G as its latest smartphone for the Indian market. However, save for the unique fusion design on the back and the colors, it is no different from the Galaxy M55 (curr. available on Amazon.de for €340) it announced back in March.
An interesting fact to know is that the Galaxy M55 is no different from the Galaxy C55 and Galaxy F55, save for the faux leather finish on the back of the C55 and M55. So one won't be wrong to say that Samsung has managed to launch the same phone four times.

The rear design of the Galaxy M55s is what makes it stand out, although that design will be hidden when you slap a case on it. Samsung has given the Galaxy M55s a triple-patterned finish that runs vertically from the top to the bottom. It's a departure from the smooth back of the Galaxy M55 and the leather-like feel of the Galaxy C55 and Galaxy M55. The Galaxy M55s will be available to buy in Thunder Black and Coral Green.
With respect to its specs, the Galaxy M55s has a 6.7-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz. It has a punch hole for a 50MP camera while the back is home to an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, a 50MP primary camera with OIS, and a 2MP macro camera. Users will be able to record simultaneously from both the front and rear cameras.
The Galaxy M55s has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage. There's a 5,000mAh battery and it charges at 45W like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung says depending on usage, the phone should provide up to 2 days of use on a single charge.
The Galaxy M55 has an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, but no audio jack. It also has Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6. It will be available to buy on Amazon starting on September 26. The base model with 128GB of storage will sell for INR 19,999 (~$239/€214) while the 256GB version is priced at INR 22,999 (~$275/€247).
