Rockstar has announced a huge update for PC GTA V players. It brings forth a ton of QoL features such as ray-tracing, support for DLSS/FSR/XeSS and even lets players take advantage of the GTA+ subscription service.

Rockstar Games has finally put the PC version of GTA V on par with its PlayStation 5/Xbox Series S|X counterparts, nearly three years after the update landed on the consoles. The long-overdue update lets PC players take advantage of the GTA Plus subscription service.

This, in turn, provides them with access to adds Hao's Special Works, the Vinewood Club Workshop, the Vinewood App, exclusive in-game items like vehicles and clothing. Outside GTA V, it also lets you play older Rockstar titles like Bully, Red Dead Redemption and the GTA Trilogy.

Other than that, PC players can finally enable ray-tracing (global illumination and ray-traced shadows) in GTA V. The update also adds support for popular upscalers like Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR and Intel XeSS. The whole suite of DualSense controller features are also sprinkled in, along with support for DirectStorage, and ultra-wide monitors.

The new GTA V upgrade lands on PC today via Steam, Epic Games and Rockstar's own client. It can be downloaded for free immediately. Those who wish to remain on the older version can do so, but they will not be able to play with anyone who opts to install said update.
