FLIT M2 new lightweight folding e-bike arrives with discount
The FLIT M2 Folding E-Bike is now available to pre-order in the UK. The company says it is the lightest e-bike it offers, and at 14 kg including the battery, the model is relatively lightweight for its category.
The M2 uses a 250W 35Nm motor at the rear, assisting you at speeds up to 15.5 mph (25 kph). A torque sensor ensures the motor’s power matches your pedalling output, and the 230Wh battery from FLIT allows you to ride with assistance for up to 31 miles (50 km). The battery recharges fully in three hours, and a handlebar-mounted display can show the remaining battery alongside information like the assistance level and ride statistics. The single-speed model comes with a 44T x 11T cassette with a standard gain ratio of 5.25, and a 48T chainring is also available. Other features include Tektro HD-R280 hydraulic disc brakes, Schwalbe Marathon 16″ tires, and LED lights at the front and rear.
The bike has a slate grey anodised 6061 aluminium frame, which measures 797 x 600 x 305 mm when folded. The model suits riders from 4ft 10″ to 6ft 0” tall, though an optional extended seat post increases the range to 6ft 6”. You can pre-order the Flit M2 Folding E-Bike in the UK at the discounted price of £1,999.00. That is a £500 saving on the £2,499.00 RRP, and the bike also comes with free mudguards and a kickstand; it is unclear how long this deal will last. Customers who pre-order the electric bicycle can expect to receive their order this Autumn. Whether or when the company could launch the product in other markets remains to be seen.
