Acer announces new ebii elite smart e-bike with more power
Acer has revealed the ebii elite e-bike, following the original ebii SmartBike launched last year. The new model, designed for city riders and commuting, is currently on show alongside a range of other models at EUROBIKE 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany.
The specs for the ebii elite have yet to be revealed. However, according to the company, the ebii elite has several upgrades on the flagship model, such as enhanced acceleration, improving its ability to climb and making it suitable for a broader range of terrains. For context, the ebii is powered by a 250W 40Nm hub motor assisting you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph). A 460W battery allows you to ride for up to 110 km (~68 miles), and you can view the remaining battery level with other statistics in the ebiiGO app. You can also use the app to adjust the e-bike’s settings, for navigation and to track its GPS location, which could be helpful in case of loss. Other safety features include lights at the front, rear and sides to help you to be seen in darker conditions, and a collision detection sensor alerts you of vehicles and other objects.
Acer has announced that the ebii elite will arrive in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in Q4 2024, though an exact launch date and pricing have yet to be disclosed. The original Acer ebii retails for £3,999.99/€3,999.00, though the price at launch was £1,999/€1,999. At EUROBIKE 2024, Acer also unveiled the Predator eNomad-R and eNomad-R ST e-bikes and the Acer eCargo-M model.
