Acer ebii SmartBike: New E-bike showcased for €1,999 with 110 km range ↺
Acer has now confirmed pricing for the ebii SmartBike, an E-bike that it announced in March. To recap, the ebii SmartBike weighs 16 kg and has a 25 km/h top speed from its 250 W hub motor. Additionally, E-bike has an aluminium frame, while its hub motor is rated for 40 nm of peak torque.
It is worth noting that Acer only offers the ebii SmartBike in a single size, which the company claims is suitable for people who are between 1.45 and 1.85 metres tall. Still, the E-bike has a height-adjustable seat and handlebars. Acer adds that the ebii SmartBike should last up to 110 km between charges, while its Air Form tyres should prevent either from running flat.
Moreover, Acer has included lighting on all sides, an ambient light sensor and a GPS module for when the E-bike is stolen or lost, as well as a Bluetooth chip that will lock the bike when it detects that a paired smartphone is no longer nearby. Furthermore, the ebii SmartBike features collision detection that can alert you to upcoming obstacles or oncoming cars.
Elsewhere, the ebii SmartBike will ship with the ebii box, which utilises AI to automatically change gears, among other uses. For reference, the ebii box can be removed from the E-bike to recharge within 2:30 hours. Acer will start selling the ebii SmartBike in Europe from September €1,999.
