Powerful Segway KickScooter GT2P with 70 kph top speed arrives
The Segway KickScooter GT2P is now available in the EU. The electric scooter is powered by a motor with 6,000W peak power, providing a top speed of 70 kph (~43 mph). You can select from front-wheel drive (1WD) or combined front, and rear-wheel drive (2WD), and a BOOST mode allows you to go from 0 to 48 kph (~30 mph) in around 3.9 seconds.
Other modes on the GT2P include Eco, Park and Walk to make transporting the scooter on foot easier. It is worth noting that, given the potential speeds, the scooter can only be used on private property, such as race tracks, in the EU. You can view your speed and remaining battery level on the integrated OLED screen. Further information and controls can be accessed via the Segway-Ninebot app. A 1,512 Wh battery provides up to 90 km (~56 miles) of range on a single charge, and the scooter can tackle inclines of up to 30%.
Self-healing Tubeless Pneumatic 11-in tires help to reduce maintenance and make your ride more comfortable, alongside front and rear dual arm suspension. Other features include front and rear disc brakes, a 9W LED headlight, rear and brake lights, and indicators to help keep you safe. The scooter can handle payloads of up to 150 kg (~331 lbs) and weighs 52.6 kg (~116 lbs). You can now buy the Segway KickScooter GT2P in countries like the Netherlands, France and Spain for €2,999 (~US$3,289). It is unclear when the EV will launch in other markets, such as the UK.
