New Epic Games Store free game giveaway arrives globally

Epic Games has updated its weekly game giveaway, having given away almost $100 worth of content throughout the last week. For reference, it will be possible to pick up F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch and in-games for Olympic Go! Paris 2024 until 14:59 UTC today, after which Epic Games' free game deal will shift to LumbearJack, another Windows-only title.

Released in 2022, LumbearJack is described in the following terms by its publisher, Armor Games Studios:

Jack is a humble bear with a simple dream: to return nature to its former glory with the help of his trusty axe and his animal friends. Slice and dice through machinery, slap some sense into wasteful humans, and work with wacky woodland critters to thwart the sinister plans of up-and-coming industrial giant Evil Works.

LumbearJack has relatively low system requirements, too. Specifically, Armor Games Studios and FinalBoss Games, the game's developer, recommend a minimum of Windows 7, 4 GB of RAM and dedicated GPUs with at least 2 GB of VRAM, including the NVIDIA GeForce GT 640, as well as processors like the AMD A8-3850 or Intel Core i3-3240. However, a better experience is said to be achieved by running LumbearJack on Windows 10 with CPU and GPU combinations like the Intel Core i7-950 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745.
