Edifier M90: Stylish active speakers launch with LDAC and HDMI eARC support

Edifier, a company known for its audio systems, recently released the M90 active speakers. Thanks to their active design, they only need a power source and an audio signal – no external amplifier required. They offer a wide range of input options, including LDAC over Bluetooth for high-resolution wireless audio. HDMI eARC is also supported; this feature isn’t always found in this class of speakers and significantly streamlines the process of hooking up the M90 to a TV. Additional input options include optical audio, AUX, and USB-C. The system also provides a subwoofer output, which is useful given the absence of a built-in subwoofer.
Out of the box, bass and midrange frequencies are handled by two 35-watt, mid-bass drivers measuring four inches in diameter. Each speaker is also fitted with a one-inch tweeter rated at 15 watts. According to official specs, this driver setup delivers a frequency response range of 50 to 40,000 Hz with a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥ 85 dB(A). Each speaker measures 133 × 255 × 212 mm (5.24 × 10.04 × 8.35 in). Besides the included remote control, the speakers can be managed through a companion app for more precise audio control. The Edifier M90 is currently listed on Amazon for $370.
