Edifier Comfo Clip TWS headphones launch with long runtime and IP certification
Edifier is launching new headphones on the market. The Edifier Comfo Clip are neither in-ear nor on-ear headphones, instead, they are headphones in the form of a clip. They enclose the outside of the ear cup and thus stay on the ear. Edifier uses 12-millimeter headphones for the Comfo Clip, which promise high sound quality. The individual headphones weigh just 5.8 grams. The connection between the two individual parts also uses a nickel-titanium alloy, which is flexible - this ensures a good grip, while the material is robust and should be able to withstand 10,000 bending cycles.
The battery life is specified as 28 hours. As is so often the case, this figure describes the total running time, i.e. with intermediate charges in the charging case. According to the manufacturer, a sufficient charge for a further 2.5 hours of playback time can be achieved in just 15 minutes. The earphones themselves are said to last seven hours. The connection is established via Bluetooth 5.4 and can be maintained with two devices simultaneously, which should make it easier to switch between playing content on a PC and making phone calls with a smartphone, for example. A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP audio codecs are supported.
The IP58 certification is advertised, meaning that the Edifier Comfo Clip can also be used in the rain or dusty environments. In China, the headphones are available at a price of 319 yuan (around $43.99), information on the global release is not yet available.
