With Dragon Age: Veilguard failing spectacularly, BioWare has immense pressure to deliver with the next Mass Effect game. However, it was teased last in 2020, and its fate seemed uncertain after that. Thankfully, a blog post has some reassuring news. It says, "The next Mass Effect game is in development," along with a TV show in partnership with Amazon.
Unfortunately, it doesn't specify a release timeline, simply stating it will be ready when it is ready. However, the company has dedicated all its resources towards the next Mass Effect game, so it could arrive sooner than initially anticipated. EA has also confirmed it won't feature Commander Shepherd as a protagonist, and one can only hope it won't be a repeat of Andromeda.
Mike Gamble has also hidden a not very subtle hint in the blog post. Scattered italic letters throughout the post spell, "Url Krogan", which, by itself, doesn't mean anything, but more pieces of the puzzle might arrive via subsequent blog posts. Unfortunately, Mike is just as ambiguous on X. With the Geth and Reapers effectively eliminated, the Krogan remain as the only viable antagonists; a theory further accentuated by the above cypher.
