If you look hard enough for in Chinese stores, you will find this smartphone for the price of about $ 385. Is it worth it? If you need a tough guy and you feel that this dark-seeing camera can be useful to you, it will definitely not be a bad buy. Maybe you will be a bit disappointed with the display, photographic possibilities or sound, but the rest is quite functional. The only thing left to hope is that the manufacturer will add some extra features to this round screen by updating it. Let me tell you one thing - bringing such an exotic smartphone from China with an unusual design is a really interesting experience. If you have some time and unnecessary money, I heartily recommend you Doogee S98 as a technological springboard from our ordinary European world.

So the exotic smartphone turned out to be not so scary. I would even risk saying that the manufacturer has tried a bit to tailor this smartphone to our European tastes. He cleaned the software from unnecessary rubbish, prepared a quite aesthetic and carefully refined set, packed everything together very nicely and avoided glaring errors in the interface translation. Absolutely, if you need a rugged smartphone. The S98 is a rugged smartphone with plenty to shout about, aside from all the features you’d expect from your regular flimsy smartphone. With the ability to take shots at night, and the chops to withstand a wide range of conditions, this is a great handset for the outdoor-based smartphone user. Highly recommended.

Doogee delivered a safe product with the S98 and the jury is still out as to the usefulness of a dual screen of that size on a rugged smartphone. On the other hand, it is a stupidly cheap, fast smartphone that packs more memory and storage than anything at this price point. So you may consider the secondary display to be an added free bonus.

In short, the Doogee S98 smartphone looks like it’s built to be durable in every inch. It offers average performance unless you are looking for a high-end gaming experience. The camera array on the back is of very good quality for a mid-range smartphone. More disappointing is the lack of L1 DRM support for HD streaming like Netflix, especially with the great screen, but it’s fun to watch HDR content on YouTube at FHD, and that’s not forgotten by the good battery and fast and wireless charging, and if you wonder about the rear display, it does not give the phone any exceptional feature more than an aesthetic appearance. However, I think the S98 is one of the best-rugged smartphones in 2022.
