There's nothing better for a laptop reviewer than testing a product that improved by leaps and bounds over its predecessor. Dell clearly identified the shortcomings of the previous G5 15 and was proactive about fixing them. By far the biggest upgrade is the display, which evolved from one of the worst on a gaming laptop to one of the best of any notebook in this price range.

Model: The Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ is one of the latest entries to Dell’s lineup of gaming laptops ever since its official release back in June 2019. Whereas it is still lacking in many aspects and departments when compared with higher tier laptop models, the Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ does itself a lot of justice for a meager budget gaming laptop whereby other laptop models within the same price range could not even achieve. The Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ is considered to be one of the best bet when it comes down to choosing a device of the user’s choice when shopping on a calculated expenditure. Taking a deeper look inside of the Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ would uncover a satisfactory set of components in which the user would come to appreciate when prioritizing gaming experience in mind. For instance, the Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ comes lock and loaded with a 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor. This high-end processor has recorded a clocking speed between 2.6 GHz to 4.5 GHz. The two additional cores which are integrated into the i7-9750H amplifies its performance up to 50 %. This renders it more than qualified to be the legitimate candidate for the most demanding of applications and games.

In addition, the Intel Core i7-9750H processor is further accompanied by a graphics card of similarly astounding caliber. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 makes itself the perfect partner to work in tandem with the i7-9750H due to its undeniable prowess when it comes to rendering graphics to a breathtaking level of thematic realism. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 is widely known for its intuitive utilization of ray tracing technology in which the graphics that are rendered in the setting of a game are based on the reflection of environmental light. This creates an immersive atmosphere for users to dive themselves into whenever they are experiencing the ebb and flow of modern Triple A (AAA) games. The physical design of the Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ is not considered to be too shabby as well. A Deep Space Black color is selected as the Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ’s color of choice which is further accentuated by blue accents. This color combination is considered to be a unique take for Dell’s very own gaming laptop since the most common color variation to be donned on a gaming laptop model is usually between the combination of black and red or black and green. However, the Dell G5 15 5590-PCNJJ does not strongly stand out as a representation of a modern gaming laptop due to its rather professional-looking premium metal finish. More often than not, it can be easily mistaken as a working laptop instead of one that is used for leisure.
