At under $1,000, you won’t find a better gaming laptop than the Dell G16 (7630). Between its performance and jaw-dropping display, I fell in love. The mechanical keyboard makes it all the sweeter. However, if you’re looking for something with a little more oomph, the Legion Pro 5i is a great choice. But it is much more pricey. Save your wallet and go with the Dell G16 (7630). This is the highest quality gaming laptop you can get for its price.

The Dell G16 7630 is a seriously big laptop that really fills a niche market. For me that feels like gamers looking for a desktop replacement but who don’t want to shell out on a more expensive 18-inch gaming laptop. There’s a solid argument why you’d want that, too. The configuration I reviewed costs just $1,899, which is a lot cheaper than say, the Razer Blade 18, which has a starting price of $2,599. That makes it a particularly good buy if you can get by without a lot of portability.

So, should you buy the Dell G16? If you love first-person shooters and are looking for a gaming laptop under Rs 2 lakh, this is the perfect option for you. Since gaming laptops can cost as high as Rs 4 lakh easily, the Dell G16 is quite the performance beast in this price tag. Hence for gamers who have a tight budget, this is a good option to consider.

Although it is one of the oldest brands out there, Dell’s gaming laptops always offer a breath of fresh air. That’s because the company is not known for its gaming products, but more for the Inspiron, and definitely the business-grade Latitude series. Lately, there were like three or four laptops made by the American company that were made for the purpose of gaming. Currently, the G16 7630 is one of the top-tier choices. Thankfully, the display doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment. In terms of gaming proficiency, the 165Hz panel has pretty fast pixel response times. This makes the image extremely smooth. In addition, the screen supports G-Sync. Unfortunately, Dell doesn’t really want to give you all if you don’t buy the most expensive configuration out there. All units that don’t ship with the RTX 4070 will not have a Thunderbolt 4 connector.
