MWC 2023 | Dell G15 and G16 gaming laptops with Intel Raptor Lake parts and Nvidia RTX 40 boards coming later this month

Dell G15 and the G16 are the company’s budget gaming options. The company took the wraps off the new Dell G15 and G16 at CES 2023 with colorful looks, up-to-date CPUs/GPUs, bigger batteries, and new screens. While Dell revealed the pricing of the machines at CES, it didn’t give any specific launch date.

Dell has now shared that both the 2023 G15 and the G16 featuring Intel and Nvidia parts will go on sale later this month. Entry-level models of the G15 and the G16 with Intel Raptor Lake CPUs and Nvidia RTX GPUs start at US$899 and US$1,499 respectively. Curiously, while Dell has SKUs with AMD chips in the works that are scheduled for Q2, the company hasn’t shared any pricing details for those SKUs.

Both the Dell G15 and the G16 will feature up to a Core i9-13900HX, 32 GB of upgradable DDR5 memory, up to an RTX 4070 laptop, and 2 TB of storage on the high-end. The only major difference between the two laptops is the available screen options.

Users buying a Dell G15 can choose between a 15.6-inch 120 Hz FHD panel with 250 nits of brightness and a 165 Hz display with 300 nits of brightness. The G16 features a bigger 16-inch 2560 x 1600 resolution display that is rated for 300 nits with either 165 or 240 Hz screen refresh rates.
