The 2022 Inspiron 16 model with the energy efficient AMD Barcelo Ryzen 7 5825U octa-core APU is now US$250 off directly from Dell. The deal is particularly enticing since this model comes with 1 TB NVMe SSD storage and a touchscreen.

It also packs 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM so the integrated Vega 8 GPU has more RAM to play with. Dell provides two display options, and luckily, the discounted model features the better 1920 x 1200 60 Hz screen with touch capabilities. According to Reddit reports, the 16-inch touchscreen option offers extended color gamut and is a bit brighter than the non-touch version.

Port selection includes 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (DP + PD modes), 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, an HDMI 1.4 video out, audio jack and an SD card reader. Internet connectivity is delivered with a Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.2 card. There is a 1080p webcam with dual array mics as well, but image quality is not that great, apparently. For improved security, a fingerprint sensor is integrated with the power button.

Despite the small 54 Wh battery, the Inspiron 16 can continuously operate up to 10 hours thanks to the excellent efficiency of the Ryzen 7 5825U processor. Additionally, the smaller battery contributes to the fairly light 4.12 lbs (1.87 kg) weight, while the Platinum Silver chassis combining aluminum and plastic has a ~0.7 inches (18 mm) profile.
