EA and Motive Studio have finally shown off some gameplay from the highly-anticipated Dead Space remake due to hit PC and consoles on January 27, 2023. The game is also up for pre-order on all major platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Store and others. Thankfully, regional prices seem to be in effect, at least on PC.
The Dead Space remake trailer shows off the new USG Ishimura in all of its gory glory. Some of the gameplay elements showcased include new Necromorph models (complete with shinier dismembered limbs), zero gravity gameplay and the infamous tentacle section. The trailer also shows off the engine's global illumination, textures, and character models.
While the Dead Space remake will stay true to the original, at least in terms of the plot/storyline, one can expect to see a multitude of QoL improvements in the game's weapons, inventory management system, NPC interaction and other gameplay aspects. Based on what EA has shown off so far, it is shaping up to be one of the better remakes of this generation, and one can only hope that its sequels get the same treatment soon.
