Hardkernel has finally started selling the ODROID-Go Ultra, its latest gaming handheld. Available in two finishes, the ODROID-Go Ultra has an Amlogic S922X chipset, 2 GB of RAM and a 5-inch display running at 854 x 480 pixels, among other features.

Hardkernel has started selling the ODROID-Go Ultra, just under two months after the company previewed the gaming handheld. As we discussed in August, the ODROID-Go Ultra is the culmination of the ODROID-Go Super's design and the internals of the ODROID-N2 Plus. The ODROID-Go Ultra has made it to market in the same colours that Hardkernel teased during the summer too.

Specifically, Hardkernel sells the ODROID-Go Ultra in 'Clear White' and 'Dim Gray' colour options. As the company's images show, Dim Gray has an opaque and matte finish, whereas Clear White is translucent. According to Hardkernel, both colour options measure 204 x 86 x 25 mm and weigh 299 g, with 16 GB of eMMC flash storage included to boot the OS and a microSD card reader for storing games. The Amlogic S922X remains unchanged from August's preview too, as does the 2 GB of LPDDR4x-3216 RAM, 0.5 mono speaker, 4,000 mAh battery and a 5-inch display operating at 854 x 480 pixels.

As Liliputing notes, Hardkernel bundles a USB Type-A to USB Type-A and Type-C Y-charging cable, supposedly because of charging issues when the battery is depleted. For some reason, the ODROID-Go Ultra recharges slowly when in this state, which the Y cable alleviates. For reference, Hardkernel rates the ODROID-Go Ultra for up to 6 hours of continuous gameplay, four hours shy of the ODROID-Go Super.

As it stands, the ODROID-Go Ultra runs a modified version of EmulationStation, under which lies Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS and Linux kernel 4.9.277. The ODROID-Go Ultra is available to order now, starting from US$111. Alternatively, Hardkernel offers volume discounts, with up to a 5% reduction if you order 180 units or more.
