A new image of what could well be DJI's next vlogging cameras has emerged online. For context, the Osmo Pocket 3 is nearing its second anniversay, having been unveiled on October 25, 2023 (curr. $575 on Amazon). With that being said, plenty of evidence has already emerged to suggest that DJI is working towards replacing the Osmo Pocket 3 with the Osmo Pocket 4.
To recap, two images emerged in August showing a vlogging camera with the same overall design as the current Osmo Pocket 3. However, the device departed from DJI's current camera in two key areas. On the one hand, one image showcased what appeared to be two camera sensors, not one like with the Osmo Pocket 3. On the other hand, a second image implied that the Osmo Pocket 4 also featured a secondary display.
Earlier alleged DJI Osmo Pocket 4 images.
Now, this new image shows an Osmo Pocket-style vlogging camera with an extra set of buttons beneath its rotatable primary display. As far as we can tell, these buttons take the place of the 'Osmo' branding on the Osmo Pocket 3 and would be hidden when the display is folded away.
Unfortunately, it remains to be seen what additional functionality these buttons would provide. Given that an NDA document has already leaked online, we would not be surprised if more information about the Osmo Pocket 4 surfaced before the start of the holiday season. Whether DJI will have the Osmo Pocket 4 ready for a late 2025 release is still unclear at this point, though.
