DJI's next action camera has surfaced in a new leak. Equipped with a larger battery, the Osmo 360 II also includes a significant camera upgrade that should improve video quality when shooting in 8K.

DJI's first 360-degree action camera is fast approaching its first birthday. Launched on July 31, 2025, the Osmo 360 (curr. $388 on Amazon) combined a 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor with 8K/50 FPS video capabilities and a 1,950 mAh battery. Now, it seems that a second-generation model is almost upon us.

For the time being, DJI has not indicated that it is preparing to replace the inaugural Osmo 360. However, various sources like Igor Bogdanov have shared early Osmo 360 II images on social media. On the face of it, DJI's second-generation model is the spitting image of its predecessor.

However, a few key differences exist between the two. For instance, DJI has redesigned the Osmo 360 to include a switch on its left-hand side. Also, the camera's hardware buttons no longer have silver accents. The Osmo 360 II has more pronounced branding, too.

Moreover, the footage indicates that the Osmo 360 II will be capable of shooting 8K videos at 60 FPS, an upgrade over the 50 FPS provided by its predecessor. Based on previous leaks, this camera upgrade will be joined by a circa 10% larger battery than the 1,950 mAh battery inside the Osmo 360. Whether this increased battery capacity translates into improved battery life remains to be seen at this point though, particularly given the Osmo 360 II's upgraded camera capabilities.
