DJI Neo 3 reveals itself in new leak with pocket-sized RC Mini remote control
Under a year has passed since DJI unveiled its latest first-person view (FPV) drone. Specifically, the Neo 2 debuted in China on October 30 2025, before appearing globally a few weeks later (curr. $299 on Amazon). Nonetheless, rumours about DJI announcing a third-generation model have been rumbling since April 2026.
Initially, Igor Bogdanov and others speculated that the DJI Neo 3 was undergoing public testing. Now, it looks as though DJI is finally on the verge of introducing its next Neo drone. For the time being, DJI has not publicly revealed anything. However, Bogdanov has now got his hands on an image showing DJI Neo 3 retail packaging.
At this stage, no technical information has emerged. With that being said, we can glean a few details from the image below. For instance, DJI has enhanced its propeller guards, which adopt a hub-and-spoke layout this time around. Additionally, the Neo 3 contains added rear vents and a new top-facing sensor. Moreover, the drone will be sold with a new accessory called the RC Mini.
As far as we can tell, this is a rebranded version of the RC Mini AG that launched in November 2025 for DJI's T55, T70S and T100S agricultural drones. In summary, this controller contains a 1.97-inch display that outputs at 800 nits with a 410 x 494-pixel resolution. Furthermore, the RC Mini AG supports OcuSync 4 for up to a 10 km video transmission range and is rated for up to 3 hours of usage between charges. A release date for the Neo 3 and the RC Mini remains unknown for now.
