DJI: New drone features high payload capacity and advanced tech

We have already tested DJI drones multiple times. The manufacturer offers a broad portfolio, ranging from consumer models (DJI Neo 2 on Amazon) to professional systems, including cargo transport drones. DJI also provides specialized agricultural models such as the Agras series, designed to simplify the application of crop protection products. Compared to traditional aircraft, drone-based spraying is generally more cost-efficient, while manual application remains labor-intensive and costly. The Agras T55 is a new drone developed for agricultural use. It can carry up to 50 liters of liquid or 55 kilograms of granular material, enabling the application of pesticides, fertilizers, and soil treatments. Its mist spraying system can dispense up to 50 liters per minute.
The Agras T55 can also lift payloads of up to 40 kilograms. With automatic balance control, it can be used to transport tools or equipment in difficult terrain, such as steep vineyards or remote areas without road access. The drone weighs 45 kilograms, including a DB1050 battery and an 50-liter tank. It is equipped with millimeter-wave radar for obstacle detection, including power lines. The system supports largely automated operation, allowing fields to be treated based on predefined routes. Pricing is available on request but is expected to exceed $10,000.
