DJI Neo 3 retail packaging first emerged in September 2026.
A reliable leaker has shared DJI Neo 3 specifications. In the process, the leaker has revealed various ways in which the Neo 3 will surpass the older Neo 2, including a much larger camera sensor.

DJI's next Neo series drone has resurfaced in a new leak. To recap, September was resplendent with images showing DJI Neo 3 retail packaging. As we discussed at the time, the leaks appeared to confirm the existence of the RC Mini, a compact remote control that debuted last year in China as the RC Mini AG.

Now, Igor Bogdanov has obtained a new image showcasing Neo 3 hardware specifications. From this we can glean that the Neo 3 will surpass the Neo 2 with a 1/1.1-inch camera sensor capable of providing '2x lossless zoom'. As some Bogdanov followers note, this could be the same sensor already found in the Osmo Action 6 (curr. $436 on Amazon).

Additionally, the leaked image describes next-generation SelfieShot support, along with 'high-speed' ActiveTrack technology. Moreover, the Neo 3 is said to offer omnidirectional obstacle sensing, among other features. Reportedly, these improvements come at the cost of added weight though, with the Neo 3 seemingly being 28% heavier than its predecessor.

At this stage, it remains unclear when DJI will officially announce its next Neo drone. So far, the company has offered no hints on any of its social media channels, as far as we know. The emergence of more retail packaging images implies that DJI is close to replacing the Neo 2, though.
