In the summer, Formovie (from Xiaomi's group of brands) crowdfunded its new Xming Page One projector on Indiegogo. After raising over $50,000, the new model recently went on sale.
The new Xming Page One from Formovie can be ordered directly from the manufacturer and has an RPP of $499. On the product page, there is a voucher code displayed for a limited time, which can be used to save $100 and thus reduce the purchase price to $399. In addition, the first 300 orders will receive a free projector stand.
The Xming Page One is a compact LCD projector with native 1080p FHD resolution. It can project an image of up to 40 to 120 inches onto a wall or screen with a projection ratio of 1.25:1, optimized by auto focus, automatic correction and obstacle detection. According to the manufacturer, the projector reaches an image brightness of 500 CVIA lumens. The contrast ratio is specified as 2,000:1. It is also capable of decoding the high contrast HDR10 format.
Formovie claims that the Xming Page One is the first LCD projector with Google TV and Netflix certification. The use of Google's operating system enables voice control with the Google Assistant as well as access to countless apps, movies and more. For this, there is 16 GB of storage space available.
The LCD projector has two speakers from Boston Acoustics with Dolby Audio. Connectivity is provided by HDMI 2.1, USB 2.0, WLAN and Bluetooth 5.0. However, the manufacturer has dispensed with an integrated battery, so an external power source is always required.
